I have been writing code since the age of 12. I recently completed a software engineering internship and am undergoing gold accreditated (by TechSkills) training with FDM. I am eager to continue my career as a developer, which is my true passion, as I love learning about new technology and solving problems. I have worked on many personal projects in my free time which can be viewed here, which I created using the technologies I learnt, when on my software engineering internship, developing online advertisements. This includes an interactive React Native app, a WordPress site, with a custom theme, for a local business and some WordPress extensions for my mum’s hypnotherapy business.

The Sports Lounge

The Sports Lounge Dartford is a custom WordPress theme developed for a local startup business. The website is no longer live as the business is no longer operational, however you can still preview the theme via the live preview to the right or the link below. However, this theme was designed to offer a modern, responsive and user-friendly experience.

Stress Buster

I am developing an app in partnership with my mother using React Native and Javascript and creating a backend with PHP. The app uses a common hynotherapy technique to help people cope with stress. It also allows my mothers clients to access personalised recordings she creates for them from a mobile device. The app is still in development. Here is a preview of how it looks so far.

Swanley Hypnotherapist

I created a website for my Mother's hynotherapy business. I created the site in wordpress along with two custom addons. One was a custom contact form. The other creates the button that, when clicked, changes the background image to a map of that location. You can preview this with the live preview to your right or with the links below.

Gardening whilst creating an app

April 2023 - Present
  • I am creating a React Native app for my mother's hypnotherapy business. This gave me an opportunity to learn React Native which I really enjoyed as I love to learn about new opportunities.
  • Whilst doing this I started a gardening business.

Travelling around Europe

July 2022 - March 2023 I went travelling around Europe for 6 months. I visited:

Engineering Intern

April - June 2022
  • I created dynamic, customisable ads for clients including Royal Mail and Ebay. I used HTML, CSS and JavaScript to enable the end user to tweak everything from the colours, to the content, to the animation timings and parameters.
  • I engineered an automated Javascript report generator using CSS grid and flexbox to make it responsive. The report inputs JSON data and creates a graph and report using Handlebars.js and chart.js.
  • I investigated and reported my findings on the use of a new API for a client project scope.
  • Successfully communicated with colleagues and clients.

January 2019 - November 2022

    My main duty was to consult with international clients to devise a data migration plan by analysing customer requirements. I then worked with them to devise a solution to migrate data from their old ERP to their new cloud-based ERP. I liked how I got to work as part of many different teams and form relationships with lots of different people. I feel this helped me develop my team working and communication skills. I utilized SQL to get data from the legacy system and excel to clean and manipulate the data. Whilst I was there I also:

  • Developed extensions to add functionality to the system to cater to specific business needs. I used JavaScript, HTML and CSS to do so.
  • Responsible for the full development lifecycle including gathering requirements, planning, coding, testing, and integration.
  • Created Excel VBA macros to automate some data migration processes.
  • Created a new data upload tool using Excel and VBA to streamline the migration process. The tool was adopted throughout the business
  • Assisted clients through transitioning their data from legacy ERPs to cloud-based systems using SQL and proprietary tools.
  • Produced documentation to help clients understand how to use their new customised solution.
